Artist Biography

Lorella and Fabio are artists and researchers working in the field of sonic, visual, and perceptual experience. They are the creators of the Ecto Musica project.

Their work is developed as an artistic research practice focused on listening, perception, and the relationship between sound, space, and experiential consciousness.

Ecto Musica emerges as a research path exploring listening not as a static sonic object, but as an experiential process arising from the interaction between attention, space, and collective participation.

The project develops a performance practice based on real-time improvisation and the transformation of the concert experience into a shared field of perception, where the traditional separation between performer and listener is progressively redefined in terms of perceptual co-presence.

The artistic research of Ecto Musica focuses on attention dynamics, the relationship between sound and perception, and the environmental and sensory conditions that support the emergence of musical experience.

Lorella develops the visual and preparatory dimension of the sonic experience through a dreamlike expressionist visual research, contributing to the perceptual imagery of the project through graphic art and symbolic visual language.

Fabio develops the musical and performative dimension of the project through research on piano improvisation, listening as a cultural practice, and the relationship between sound frequencies and shared attentional states.

The project operates within contemporary artistic research on sound as a relational language, collaborating with cultural, academic, and performance contexts at both national and international levels.
